As I've mentioned before, I love bath bombs. Pink, purple, green, blue, glittery or sparkly, I love them.

Space Girl from Lush is my all-time favourite bath bomb.

It's a delicately scented purple bath bomb which just fizzles away in the bath and overall, brightens your mood.

It's just a small purple/blue bath bomb with what looks like a ring around a planet on.

It's covered in red and gold glitter and the first time I bought this, I thought I'd come out like a glitter ball. Well, in the end I didn't. There's glitter in the tub but there's not too much that stays on your skin.

The thing I love most about this product is the smell. It smells like the British sweets called Parma Violets and that's one of my all-time best scents. I love it!

This bath bomb turns the bath water into a gorgeous purple colour.

To be completely honest, the only reasons why I use bath bombs is for the coloured water and the divine smells. I don't really think that this product moisturized my skin but that honestly doesn't bother me because that's not what I buy it for! So if you're looking for a moisturizer bath bomb, I wouldn't recommend this bath bomb.

i (don't) love...

I'm a sucker for nice smelling shower gel and bath products.

When I was in Superdrug a few weeks back picking something up for my mum when these were on offer at 2 for £3, so I bought raspberry and blackberry along with coconut and cream.

I think that the packaging on these are adorable. They remind me of Philosophy products, by the way they're so simple with a paragraph of words. These also smell amazing too!

Sadly, I was just not impressed by these products at all. The first time I used them, I used the raspberry and blackberry shower gel as a bubble bath, and the coconut and cream one for shower gel. With regards to the bubble bath, I was not impressed at all. Yes, it made bubbles but not very much. There was also red strings of this all over the bath and in the water which would not budge or turn bubbly.

As for shower gel, I wasn't impressed either. There was no lather, and for a lather lover like me, this was really disappointing. The only good thing about this product was the price. They retail at about £2 in Superdrug for one 500ml bottle, but I'm not willing to pay £2 for a smell! But hey, you get what you pay for I guess.

Recently I heard of a website called eFoxCity and their pieces of jewelry are gorgeous!

Their pieces are very affordable and so pretty.

Fresh face masks are one of my favourite things to do during my Sunday night 'prep for school' routine.

Recently, I've been getting more and more breakouts and I saw this when I popped in to Lush a few days back and it says it combats spots and soothes troubled skin. 

For 75g, it costs £5.95 and if you collect 5 pots, you can bring it back and get a free one.

Sounds great, right?

Because this face mask is fresh, it needs to be kept chilled and it has a shorter shelf life. I think the majority of fresh face masks last up to 3 weeks and in this pot I think you get the perfect amount that you'll need.

You can use this every 3 days and you could still have some left at the end, even though the pot looks tiny!

The smell of this product was not so pleasant, but still bearable. It smells like any other Tea Tree product and to be honest, it's worth putting up with the stench for the results! Thankfully, the smell doesn't linger after it's been washed off!

I left it on for 10 minutes before washing it off with warm water and immediately my skin felt tighter and cleaner.

The face mask includes fresh garlic and tea tree oils as an antiseptic, fresh grapes to clean and cool the skin, honey to soften and moisturize and free range eggs to tighten the skin.

Because the face mask is made from natural ingredients, I guess you could really use it as often as you like!

I've said before that one of my favourite things about the Lush products are the little stickers that show which member of staff made the product and at what time. I think it's such a good way to show that they really value their staff. 

When it comes to combating my spots, it made them less red and less noticeable  but I didn't think that it reduced them in size!

Everyone loves a good pop of colour to swish up an outfit, right?

short stay in chester

On Friday, Mummy Dopson and I got bored and began to look for nice hotels to spend the night in, for a girly night away. A few hours later, we ended up checking into an executive room at the Best Western Westminster Hotel in the heart of Chester.

It's a perfect little hotel, surrounded by everything you'd need for a nice break. The train station is little more than a 20 second walk, and there's a lovely pub next door with a nice, green beer garden. It's no more than a 10 minute walk to get to the shopping center, with shops such as Yankee Candle, Lush, Cath Kidston and L'Occitane!

The room itself was lovely, with a nice little bath and a very comfy bed. There was also an iPod docking station, so there was no need to take my iPhone charger! In the room is a nice decent sized wardrobe, and a TV with only 10 channels. 

The city of Chester is beautiful. Old, pretty houses and lots and lots of history are everywhere, and all of the people I met here were lovely and so polite.

We also went for Breakfast, where the waiters and waitresses really do work their socks off. The breakfast is served on a lovely buffet, including food from fruit and Coco Pops to a cooked breakfast. The hotel itself doesn't have a car park, but just around the corner is one, which charges 50p per hour, or £2.90 for all day. Not too bad I suppose!

Customer service in the hotel was brilliant. They were very polite, and asked if you needed anything extra. We saw on the website that the room we booked came with free Chester Zoo tickets, but somehow we didn't get them, although the man on the checkout desk gave them us at a discount price after my disappointment!

Overall, a lovely hotel and I'd definitely stay again!

a day at the zoo

 In my next post, you'll find out that last weekend, I stayed in a nice hotel in the middle of Chester. 

One of my favourite places in the whole entire world is the zoo, so it'd be rude not to pop in and say hi to all of the animals whilst we were there!

I just collected a (more than) a few snaps of the animals and around Chester Zoo. I figured they'd take hours to edit, so the photos are fresh from the camera!

This is the view from when you first go in. There's a notice board with all of the animal talks on depending on what day you're visiting the zoo on, a huuuge gift shop, ladies and gents toilets and a small picnic area.

 This baby elephant is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I just wanted to just pick him up and put him in my pocket but I figured that it'd be pretty much impossible. 

These are crazy spider monkeys, which give you evil glares when you try and take photos....

There was a dead, stuffed turtle in this little building which you could touch. A bit gross if you ask me. 

How cute are penguins? And this little girl who I just noticed was wearing a penguin hat. Aw 

Sleepy tiger. Their fur is so pretty.

This big orangutan was my favourite. He popped his head up for a new minutes to say hi and have a quick look at the visitors, before jumping back down for his lunch.

When we actually got to the Chimpanzee Breeding Center, we were greeted with a chimp doing it's business into his hands and swallowing it back down. Someone give them a toilet roll!

Adorable little giraffes. We were able to get up close to them after hours of queuing again, but it was worth it!

Maybe now you'll see why I love the zoo! All in all, we were there for around 7 hours, and not once did we get bored. There's so much to do, from eating (overpriced) food and children's play areas. There's also designated smoking areas around the zoo.
